Dot IT Domain Name Registrations

Established in 1987, Italy’s .IT ccTLD is very popular both within the country and in the English-speaking world. The reason is that the domain is a pronoun, which can be used for building imaginative and interesting domain names – write.it, youcanmake.it and so on. This is a way to construct an easy-to-learn domain name, so that it will be easier for your visitors to come back to your website or to share it with coworkers and fellows. The domain name extension can also be used for a website, which is related to the technology sector as IT is an abbreviation, which is well-known worldwide.

Given that .IT domains are not registered directly by IT-NIC, the Registry that controls this top-level domain name extension, such a domain can be bought through a 3rd-party domain provider, such as ours. Because there are existing Second-Level Domains that include names of various territories and localities in Italy reserved for local 3rd-level registrations, new names that consist of geographical areas of any kind are not permitted on any level to avoid any future confusion.
